On Bravo's Real Housewives of New Jersey, Danielle Staub was a one-woman drama generator; at times, the entire show seemed to revolve around Staub's grudges, vendettas and closet skeletons. We know that Danielle "Love Me or Hate Me" Staub wasn't invited back for a third season of Housewives -- but she claims she's getting her own "spin-off" on a new network. But without all those other Jersey housewives for Danielle to befriend and betray, what will the new show be about?
"It's all about me and my family and friends and entourage ... the real Danielle Staub that my fans and loved ones have been dying to see," the mother of two tells PopEater.
But do we really want to watch a show where devious Danielle is the hero and not the villain? She says we should, because "nothing is a facade" with her, and "everything that I do is real."
"I am the Susan Lucci of reality television," Staub declares proudly.
Well, she's got at least one thing in common with Lucci: she'll have to wait a looong time for an Emmy. (Maybe forever!)
As for what a Danielle reality show will entail, we imagine it will focus on her daughters, her attempts to launch a music career, and her mysterious bisexual dating life. One person whose role is up in the air is singer Lori Michaels, the "Real Close" duet partner whom Staub has heavily hinted she's dating. According to RadarOnline, Michaels and Staub were never a couple, but they kept up appearances to garner publicity.
"Did they have a connection? Yes," a friend of the pair reportedly told the website. "Was it was very strong through work and song? Yes. Did Danielle feel more? Yes. Did she indicate that to Lori? Yes. But Lori was never going to put herself in a place where she was going to run away with Danielle."
So what was the dealbreaker for Michaels? Her friend says simply: "The Danielle Staubness." Hmm -- now wouldn't that be a great name for her new show?
