Most of us know her as the devious Blair Waldorf on the hit show ?Gossip Girl,? but Leighton Meester proved to be quite the talented actress in her latest movie ?Country Strong".
The 24-year-old recently sat down with MTV News and explained that, although she?s not even a country singer, she worked closely with her very own music producer to perfect her role as a country singing beauty queen.
"I think it was really surprising how everything kind of came together," Meester said of the training. "Each of us got our own producers to work with and mine [Nathan Chapman], he works very closely with Taylor Swift, which is sort of similar, in the same vein of the music that I'm making in the movie.?
Revealing her new love for Nashville, TN, Leighton added, "Just being in Nashville and working there and meeting the most incredible musicians and producers and songwriters and singers, just being in that world was really cool," the "Gossip Girl" star said. "I have this newfound appreciation for that style of music."
